As 2025 comes to a close, it’s a good moment to pause and reflect on the sustainability questions that shaped this year’s conversations within the ECOLUTION Project.
Across environmental, digital, and policy perspectives, one theme kept returning:
Sustainability challenges are complex and require systems-level thinking.
Throughout the year, ECOLUTION addressed these challenges through its curriculum by focusing on topics such as:
- Natural resource management and biodiversity conservation
- Environmental risk assessment and conservation policy
- Sustainable land and food systems
- Remote sensing, data acquisition, and sensor technologies
- Circular economy approaches to resource use
- Environmental policy, planning, and governance
As we look ahead to the coming year, these reflections reinforce why interdisciplinary and digitally supported sustainability education remains essential for understanding and responding to the environmental challenges Europe and the world face.
